Six weeks, one room, and the unglamorous work that makes opening night look effortless.
Rehearsal is mostly repetition. The same eight bars, the same entrance, until the body stops having to think about it.
Week one
The first week is spent around a table. No blocking, no movement, just the text and a lot of arguing about what a line actually means.
By week four the set arrives and everything learned in the abstract has to survive contact with a real staircase.
